Car Carrier Transport Policy
1. Scope of Service
Darwish Logistics (hereinafter referred to as the “Carrier”) provides vehicle transport services under the terms and conditions set forth in this policy. These terms apply to all clients engaging the Carrier for domestic or international transport of vehicles.
By requesting or accepting transport services, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms described herein.
2. Responsibility for Personal Items and Vehicle Accessories
The Carrier does not accept responsibility for any personal belongings, number plates, or non-factory-installed accessories left in or attached to the vehicle.
All personal effects must be removed from the vehicle prior to transport.
This includes, but is not limited to: documents, valuables, electronics, aftermarket modifications, and external attachments such as bike racks or roof boxes.
The Carrier’s insurance does not cover loss, damage, or theft of such items under any circumstances.
3. Condition of the Vehicle
A pre-transport inspection report will be completed at the point of origin and must be signed by both the Carrier and the customer (or their representative).
The vehicle must be in roadworthy condition unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Any pre-existing damage must be disclosed and documented during the inspection.
4. Liability for Damage
The Carrier will only be held liable for damage clearly caused during transport, and such liability is limited to damages exceeding EUR 50 per incident.
Minor damage (e.g., scratches, dents, stone chips) valued at EUR 50 or less is considered acceptable risk and will not be subject to compensation.
Verified damages exceeding EUR 50 will be covered exclusively through the Carrier’s cargo insurance, subject to the terms of that policy.
Any compensation claim must be supported by a licensed repair estimate and photographic documentation.
5. Insurance Coverage
The Carrier holds valid cargo insurance covering transported vehicles against significant damage, loss, or total loss caused during the transport process.
The insurance coverage excludes:
Personal items left inside the vehicle
Number plates
Custom modifications or aftermarket equipment
Mechanical failures or latent defects unrelated to transport
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
Ensuring the vehicle is in operable and legal condition (unless otherwise agreed).
Removing all non-essential items and number plates.
Providing accurate information regarding the vehicle’s dimensions, weight, condition, and any special handling requirements.
Making the vehicle available for pickup and delivery at the agreed times and locations.
Failure to meet these obligations may result in delays, additional fees, or refusal of service.
7. Force Majeure & Exclusions
The Carrier shall not be held liable for delays or damages arising from events beyond its control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters, severe weather, or road closures
Acts of vandalism or theft
Third-party incidents (e.g., customs holds, strikes)
Mechanical failure or inherent vice of the vehicle
8. Claims Procedure
All damage claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of vehicle delivery.
Claims must include:
Photographic evidence
A certified third-party repair estimate
A copy of the signed inspection report
Claims submitted after 48 hours, or without proper documentation, will not be considered.
9. Acknowledgement and Acceptance
By commissioning transport services with Darwish Logistics, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this Car Carrier Transport Policy.
